The main function of the rope core is to support the wire rope to achieve a stable cross-sectional structure. Rope core includes steel core and fiber core, fiber core includes natural fiber core and synthetic fiber core, natural fiber core such as sisal, jute, cotton thread, etc., synthetic fiber core includes polyethylene and polypropylene filament. The natural fiber core can store more grease to lubricate the wire rope and extend the service life of the wire rope.

Classification according to twisting method
Single rope
Also known as single twist rope, made of wire twisted around a central silk or hemp core, can be twisted to make one or more layers of wire.
Double laid rope
It is composed of two strands of rope around the rope core (steel core or fiber core), which can be twisted into one or more layers of steel wire, and is the most widely used variety of steel wire rope.
Three-laid rope
It is mainly used for coarse steel wire rope with diameter of 60mm or more, such as Marine steel wire rope and so on
The marking method of wire rope lay is as follows:
a right interactive twist SZ: right twist of the rope, left twist of the strand, the twist of the strand rope is opposite to the twist of the steel wire in the strand, called interactive twist
b Left interactive twist ZS: rope left twist, strand right twist
c Right twist in the same direction ZZ: right twist of rope and right twist of strand
d Left twist: rope left twist, strand left twist
e Right mixed twist: rope right twist, part of the left twist, part of the right twist
f Left mixed twist: rope left twist, part of the right twist, part of the left twist
